The 2A6 variant took the Leopard's offensive capabilities and survivability to a new level: it featured an L/55 120mm smoothbore gun with superior muzzle velocity and improved armour piercing. Wedge-shaped additional armour was carried over from the 2A5, and the commander was given a panorama sight with thermal imaging viewer, while the gun had an electronic control and stabilization system. The Leopard 2A6 was deployed with units from Spring 2001.

Distinctive turret front and side additional armour is authentically depicted. Clear parts are included to recreate headlights and taillights. Accessories such as turret top light and road signs are included. Comes with commander and loader torso figures, plus four marking options.
